Some of you are lucky enough to have lived on the Space Coast your whole life. Others have moved here for college or jobs. Many are military and government-employed families stationed at Patrick Air Force and Port Canaveral. And, some knew that retirement wouldn’t be sweeter anywhere else! Can you hear them? There are deep sighs of relief coming from all over the United States right now. Finals are over! College students throughout the country are rejoicing. They are breathing those sighs of relief you hear. Whether finals went well or not, they are done. That is a huge relief!

An oft-neglected task is wiping down window sills and baseboards. Window sills are often hidden with blinds and curtains, so we tend to forget they are there and in need of a good wiping. Our baseboards may be covered by furniture for the most part. You can pull the furniture out (if it won’t hurt your back) or ask someone else to do it for you. Wipe down the dust that has accumulated on the top of the baseboards. To help save your back, you can also opt to use a vacuum attachment to suck up that dust.

Here in Florida, there is no better word to describe our plant life than lush. Our state never looks dead. We may not have majestic purple mountains, but we have gorgeous greenery that lasts all year long. Though certain types of grass may go dormant in our “colder” months or certain plants and bushes only bloom at particular times of the year, there is always something green, lush, and gorgeous growing here.
